Held 7 nights a week at 5:00 PM (April 1st to October 31st), Ben’s Chicken Racing is one of the most unique things to do in Outback Queensland. “Schnitzel Stadium” is located right at the historic Royal Carrangarra Hotel (25 Arthur Street, Tambo, QLD), on the Landsborough Highway between Charleville and Longreach, making Tambo the perfect overnight stop on your outback trip. We cater heavily to travelling families and grey nomads, offering a free courtesy bus to and from Stubby Bend free camp and Tambo Cabins and Caravan Park, so you can enjoy the night safely. Come down for the free show and daily charity chicken auctions, grab a hearty pub meal made with meat from the local butcher, enjoy a cold beer, and stay the night in one of our budget pub rooms. We are proudly pet-friendly, meaning your dogs are always welcome to join you right in the bar!
